It’s really important to put a face to illness, especially the orphan illnesses I have that are the most misunderstood ones in science and society.
My diagnoses are myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E.) / CFIDS (chronic fatigue immune deficiency syndrome); dysautonomia with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), neurally-mediated hypotension (NMH), and gastroparesis; and Lyme disease. See my “Quick Terminology” page for a description of what that all means).
I’m a health science nerd. For bachelor’s of science I studied health science and for my master’s of science I studied occupational therapy. I really enjoy cooking and am on the paleo diet, which helps somewhat with my gastroparesis.
